Loop Capital lowered the firm’s price target on Compass Minerals to $29 from $39 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The analyst is citing a very slow start to this year’s winter season with a very minimal snowfall and thus presumably a lower ice control volume and profit realization. Some near-term stock price volatility is also possible, absent more “favorable” winter weather, the firm tells investors in a research note.
