JPMorgan upgraded Compass Minerals to Neutral from Underweight with a price target of $24, down from $36. Compass faces a number of business challenges in fiscal 2024, but the risks and rewards are more balanced at the current share price, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says Compass is largely a salt and specialty potash company, and that recent transaction multiples have been in excess of Compass’s current public market valuation.
