Charter (CHTR) Communications is slashing 1,200 staff, or just over 1% of its total headcount, the Wall Street Journal’s Joe Flint reports, citing a person familiar with the matter. The layoffs are primarily in corporate and back-office functions both at the company’s Connecticut headquarters and across the country, the author says, noting that no sales or service workers will be affected.
