Carlyle Group (CG) and the former President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs (GS), Harvey Schwartz, are in discussions for Schwartz to take the helm at the private equity firm, as the new CEO, writes Liz Hoffman for Semafor. "The negotiations aren’t complete, and it wasn’t clear if other candidates are still in the mix. But if finalized, Schwartz’s hiring could be announced as soon as next week," added the Semafor story.
