TikTok parent ByteDance aims to mass produce two AI chips designed alongside TSMC (TSM) in 2026, The Information’s Wayne Ma and Qianer Liu report. Production of the chips could reduce ByteDance’s reliance on Nvidia (NVDA) chips for developing and operating AI models, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.
