BP is in talks over an insurance deal for its GBP 30B final salary pension fund, Josephine Cumbo, David Sheppard, and Harriet Agnew of The Financial Times reports. The trustees for the company’s U.K. defined benefit scheme, which has over 600,000 members, are discussing with multiple insurers over a buy-in deal, five people familiar with the matter said.
