TD Cowen analyst Gautam Khanna raised the firm’s price target on Boeing (BA) to $230 from $200 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Boeing’s 737 production at 38 per month is “increasingly plausible” sometime in Q3 while Federal Aviation Administration approval to go above 38 per month also seems realistic by year-end, the analyst tells investors in a research note. TD says China seems to have given Chinese airlines permission to buy and take delivery of Boeing aircraft during the 90-day China-U.S. tariff deliberation. Chinese customers account for near 10% of Boeing’s airplane backlog, the firm points out. Its cites Boeing’s production progress for the target boost.
