UBS raised the firm’s price target on Assured Guaranty to $102 from $64 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The price target increase reflects better than expected Q4 earnings and growth in book value per share, increased share buyback, higher earnings from Assured’s ownership in Sound Point and decreased risk from additional charges from Puerto Rico, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
