Apple CEO Tim Cook has pressed ahead with an MR headset debut in 2023, overruling the company’s designers who wanted to wait until the tech catches up with their vision, The Financial Times’ Patrick McGee and Tim Bradshaw report. The headset will be Apple’s first new computing platform to have been developed entirely under Cook’s leadership, the report notes. "They have huge pressure to ship" the headset, said a former Apple engineer who worked on the product’s development. "They have been postponing the launch each year for the past years."
