Morgan Stanley lowered the firm’s price target on AMD (AMD) to $177 from $193 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares ahead of the company’s report due Tuesday after the close. AMD is one of the biggest “battleground” stocks this earnings period amid mixed conditions in the core business and longer term questions in AI around Nvidia’s (NVDA) coming Blackwell chip, says the firm. Its view is constructive longer term, but it doesn’t see this quarter as a catalyst given those factors, the analyst tells investors in a preview note.
