Telsey Advisory raised the firm’s price target on Academy Sports to $83 from $70 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares ahead of Academy’s Q4 report due before the markets open on Thursday, March 21. Academy is executing well, has meaningful room to expand its store base over the next several years, and is well positioned with a compelling merchandise assortment once consumer health improves, says the analyst, who is applying a higher price-to-earnings multiple to the firm’s 2025 EPS estimate of $8.70.
