What’s New?
The partnerships will embed OpenAI’s latest GPT-5 model directly into Salesforce’s ecosystem.
This means Salesforce customers can now access and manage their core CRM data directly within ChatGPT. This allows users to pull sales records, review customer conversations, and build Tableau visualizations simply by typing natural language queries into the chatbot interface.
Also, Salesforce is introducing a new feature called Agentic Commerce. It allows U.S. merchants to sell directly to ChatGPT users using Agentforce Commerce, while keeping full control over orders, payments, and customer relationships.
To enable this, CRM is teaming up with Stripe to support this system, while letting merchants stay in charge of their orders and customer info.
CRM Enhances Slack Platform
Integrations into Slack, which sees 5.2 billion weekly messages, include using ChatGPT for summarizing conversations and boosting search results. Further, Codex, OpenAI’s code-writing agent, will be available to handle programming and development tasks via natural language instructions within Slack channels.
Salesforce Taps Anthropic’s Claude
Salesforce and Amazon (AMZN)-backed Anthropic have expanded their strategic partnership to bring trusted, enterprise-grade AI to regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
The key focus point is Anthropic’s Claude model, which will be integrated within Salesforce’s secure environment, allowing companies to deploy AI while keeping sensitive data protected.
The deal also includes the launch of Claude Code, Anthropic’s AI coding assistant, now used by Salesforce engineers to boost productivity and streamline development.
Is CRM a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
