Vale S.A., a leader in decarbonization solutions, has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to negotiate a funding award for an innovative iron ore briquette plant in the U.S., utilizing a unique cold-agglomeration technology. This groundbreaking facility is part of Vale’s commitment to significantly reduce emissions in the steel industry and supports their goal to lower net emissions by 15% by 2035. The company plans to expand its production of iron ore agglomerates globally, aiming to reach approximately 100 million tons per year by 2030+.
