Vale S.A. has successfully addressed an anomaly in the Forquilha III dam’s spillway, ensuring the spillway’s drainage is functioning correctly and eliminating the risk of solids carryover. The repair was confirmed by the National Mining Agency, and Vale is committed to ongoing monitoring and advancing the dam’s decharacterization process. This marks a significant step towards enhancing the dam’s safety and reducing emergency levels.
