Vale SA (VALE) has released an update.
Vale S.A. has reported a Brazilian federal court’s rejection of a R$ 79.6 billion payment request by the AGU, affirming its ongoing commitment to the 2016 Framework Agreement for reparations related to the Samarco dam collapse. The company continues to fund the Renova Foundation, having allocated around R$37 billion for remediation and compensation, with significant progress in community resettlements.
