Telecom Argentina S.A. is a leading telecommunications company in Argentina, providing a range of services including fixed-line telephone, cellular, data transmission, pay TV, and internet services, with operations extending to Paraguay and Uruguay.
In its latest earnings report for the first half of 2025, Telecom Argentina reported consolidated revenues of P$3,357,004 million, a significant increase of 44.4% compared to the same period in 2024. However, the company faced a consolidated net loss of P$75,554 million, attributed mainly to adverse net financial results.
Key financial highlights include a 44.2% increase in consolidated service revenues, driven by the inclusion of Telefónica Móviles Argentina (TMA) contributions. Despite a decline in total mobile accesses, postpaid and broadband segments showed growth. The company’s operating income before depreciation, amortization, and impairment rose by 45.9% to P$1,007,153 million, with a margin improvement to 30.0%.
The company’s financial outlook remains cautious, with increased net financial debt primarily due to the acquisition of TMA. Management is focused on expanding data services and enhancing network capabilities, including the rollout of 5G technology.
Looking ahead, Telecom Argentina aims to strengthen its market position by continuing to invest in infrastructure and technology, while addressing financial challenges and regulatory matters related to its recent acquisition.
