TC Energy Corporation has struck a deal to sell its Prince Rupert Gas Transmission project to Nisga’a Nation and Western LNG, aligning with its strategic financial goals and supporting LNG development in British Columbia. This move is set to enhance Indigenous co-ownership in the energy sector, with a focus on sustainable and responsible Canadian natural gas exportation. The transaction is expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2024, with the potential for TC Energy to receive additional payments based on the project’s future success.
