HF Sinclair Corporation, based in Dallas, Texas, is an independent energy company specializing in the production and marketing of gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, renewable diesel, lubricants, and specialty products. The company operates refineries across several U.S. states and provides transportation, storage, and throughput services to the petroleum industry.

In its latest earnings report for the third quarter of 2025, HF Sinclair announced a significant turnaround with a net income of $403 million, translating to $2.15 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $76 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The company also reported an adjusted net income of $459 million, or $2.44 per diluted share, and declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share.

Key financial highlights include a reported EBITDA of $796 million and an adjusted EBITDA of $870 million. The refining segment showed notable improvement, with income before interest and taxes of $476 million, driven by higher refinery gross margins and increased throughput. However, the renewables segment reported a loss, reflecting challenges in this area despite capturing more value from the Producer’s Tax Credit.

The marketing and midstream segments also showed positive results, with increased income and EBITDA due to higher margins and lower operating expenses. HF Sinclair returned $254 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases, emphasizing its commitment to shareholder value.

Looking ahead, HF Sinclair’s management remains focused on generating strong cash flows to enhance shareholder returns and optimize its portfolio. The company aims to continue improving operational efficiency and capturing value from strategic initiatives, positioning itself for sustained growth in the energy sector.
