The latest update is out from Cvr Energy Inc. (CVI).
CVR Energy, Inc. welcomed new board members Dustin DeMaria and Mark J. Smith on March 17, 2024, with Mr. Smith being recognized as an independent director by SEC and NYSE standards. Mr. DeMaria, associated with the majority shareholder Icahn Enterprises, will serve without additional compensation, while Mr. Smith will be compensated as per the company’s existing policies for non-employee directors. Their appointments coincide with the resignation of Hunter C. Gary for personal reasons, not due to any conflict with the company, and expands the board to seven directors. Both new members will also be covered under the company’s standard indemnification for directors.
