CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp. has agreed to sell its Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas distribution businesses to a group of buyers for $1.2 billion, with potential adjustments at closing. The deal is expected to finalize by the end of Q1 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, but is not contingent on financing. The agreement mandates the business to operate normally until the transaction concludes and includes standard termination rights if the deal does not close within a specified timeframe.
