The Carlyle Group Inc. is set to welcome Afsaneh M. Beschloss to its Board of Directors on May 1, 2024, bringing on board her vast experience as an economist, investment leader, and pioneer in sustainable investing. This move coincides with the retirement of long-serving Board member Dr. Thomas S. Robertson. Beschloss, who has previously worked with The Carlyle Group and led significant initiatives at the World Bank, also holds influential positions in various prestigious organizations and has received multiple accolades for her contributions to finance and human rights. Her appointment will briefly expand the Board to 14 members until Robertson’s departure.
