Cambi has secured a contract to deliver its thermal hydrolysis process (THP) system for the new Silvouta wastewater treatment plant in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, marking its fifth installation in the country. This system, part of a sustainable collaboration with a consortium including Espina, Obrascon, and Aquambiente, aims to optimize biogas production, improve sludge dewatering, and produce high-quality biosolids for agricultural use, aligning with the plant’s goal to generate energy for internal consumption and serving a population of around 250,000 residents.
