Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Strong Organic Revenue GrowthBroad, high-rate organic growth indicates expanding adoption of XVIVO’s transplantation solutions and supports operating leverage as the installed base grows. Sustained procedure and consumable demand can strengthen recurring revenue and create a durable platform for future expansion.
Thoracic And EVLP MomentumStrong thoracic growth combined with high gross margins shows meaningful commercial traction in a core application. Rising EVLP disposable utilization is especially valuable because recurring consumables can compound as hospitals and transplant programs expand usage.
Very Conservative Balance SheetMinimal leverage reduces refinancing exposure and preserves flexibility to fund regulatory work, commercial expansion, and production scale-up internally. A strong capital base gives XVIVO greater resilience while it invests in expanding its transplant technology platform.
Bears Say
Services Segment WeaknessWeak services revenue and very low margins indicate that this part of the offering is not yet absorbing its capacity effectively. Persistent underutilization could dilute consolidated profitability and limit the earnings contribution from customer support and workflow services.
Abdominal Margin PressureLower abdominal margins show that growth in kidney and other products is not translating proportionally into profit because mix and pricing remain unfavorable. Recovery depends on geography, pricing, component costs, and process improvements that may take time.
Regulatory Timing UncertaintyUncertain approval timing can defer commercialization of heart and other products, delaying revenue scale and the transition toward mature margins. Regulatory slippage may also prolong development spending and make sales-force and production investments less efficient.

Company Description
Xvivo Perfusion AB
Xvivo Perfusion AB (publ) is a medical technology company that creates and supplies advanced solutions for the preservation and perfusion of organs, tissues, and cells, primarily for use in transplantation. The company's global reach extends across Sweden, the United States, both North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. Its product line includes the XVIVO System (XPS), an integrated, ready-to-use cardiac bypass system designed to facilitate safe normothermic ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP). To support this, the XPS Disposable Lung Kit offers all the necessary sterile, pre-packed components for EVLP procedures. Xvivo also provides STEEN Solution, an optimally formulated buffered extracellular solution specifically for perfusing isolated donor lungs during EVLP. Additional offerings comprise Perfadex Plus, an extracellular, low-potassium, dextran-based electrolyte preservation solution, and the XVIVO Silicone Tubing Set, used for efficient flushing of donor lungs during the procurement process. The company also manufactures the XVIVO LS and XVIVO Disposable Lung Set, both critical devices for EVLP. Furthermore, Xvivo provides the XVIVO Organ Chamber, a sterile, single-use disposable container for temporarily housing isolated lungs before transplantation, and the XVIVO Lung Cannula Set, another sterile, single-use disposable medical product. Established in 1998, Xvivo Perfusion AB (publ) is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.

XVIPF Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call presents a predominantly positive operational and financial picture: strong organic revenue growth (36% in Q2), robust profitability (19% Q2 EBITDA margin; rolling 12-month EBITDA 21%) and improving cash generation (positive operating cash flow and SEK 305m cash balance). Commercial momentum is broad-based (notably thoracic/EVLP, kidney, and heart pre-launch adoption) and supported by strong clinical evidence (heart trial outcomes and >600 heart transplants). Key risks include services underperformance, margin pressure in abdominal products driven by mix and pricing, elevated R&D/CapEx and regulatory timing uncertainty (CE mark and U.S. pathways). Overall the positive growth, profitability and clinical/regulatory progress outweigh the identifiable execution and timing risks.View all XVIPF earnings summariesTechnical Analysis
