Q4 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q4 2026
Earnings Call Date:Sep 03, 2026|

|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call was strongly positive. Zscaler reported 25% revenue and ARR growth, accelerating organic net new ARR, record sales productivity, expanding enterprise adoption, strong Z-Flex activity, improving profitability and substantial momentum in AI security, data security and Zero Trust Everywhere. The main challenges were moderating fiscal 2027 growth guidance, elevated infrastructure costs and CapEx, lower free cash flow margin, workforce restructuring, sales leadership transitions and elevated Red Canary churn.
Company Guidance
For fiscal '27, Zscaler expects first-quarter revenue of $935 million to $939 million, approximately 19% year-over-year growth, gross margin of approximately 80%, operating profit of $215 million to $217 million, up approximately 25% to 26% year-over-year, representing a 23% operating margin, net other income of approximately $33 million and earnings per share of approximately $1.15 to $1.16 per share, assuming a 21% tax rate and 170 million fully diluted shares; for the full year, it expects ARR of $4.396 billion to $4.426 billion, or year-over-year growth of approximately 16.6% to 17.4%, approximately 37% of net new ARR in the first half with 15% in Q1 fiscal '27, revenue of $3.908 billion to $3.938 billion, reflecting year-over-year growth of 16.6% to 17.5%, gross margin of approximately 80%, operating profit of $924 million to $932 million, up approximately 21% year-over-year and equating to an operating margin of approximately 23.7%, net other income of approximately $140 million to $142 million, earnings per share of $4.86 to $4.90, assuming a 21% tax rate and approximately 173 million fully diluted shares, and free cash flow margin of approximately 23% to 23.5%, reflecting CapEx, not including internal use software in the low teens as a percentage of revenue; restructuring is expected to affect approximately 3% of employees and result in restructuring charges of approximately $30 million to $33 million, security for AI products are expected to scale in the second half of fiscal 2027, and Agentic SecOps should start contributing in the second half and then fiscal '28.
Strong Fiscal 2026 Finish
Q4 revenue and ARR each grew 25% year-over-year, net new ARR grew 24%, and non-GAAP operating margin reached a record 24.3%. Full-year revenue grew 25%, free cash flow margin was 23%, and the company exceeded the Rule of 40 at approximately 49%.
Accelerating Organic Net New ARR

A Global 2000 health care equipment manufacturer signed a 7-figure new-logo deal for Zero Trust Branch across critical production sites, displacing a long-term legacy vendor. Zscaler also added a managed Zero Trust Cloud service through Google Cloud that can be configured in under 10 minutes, expanding its existing AWS offering and enabling multi-cloud flexibility.
Growth in Zero Trust Everywhere Customers
The company exited Q4 with more than 950 Zero Trust Everywhere enterprises, compared with over 700 in Q3 and over 350 at the end of fiscal 2025.
Additional Large Customer Expansion

Fortune 500 penetration increased from 45% to 50%, and the company reported a record quarter for new $1 million-plus ACV deals.
Agentic SecOps Platform Opportunity
Zscaler said its platform processes more than 750 billion transactions per day, providing telemetry for its Agentic SecOps offering. Management expects the solution to take time to ramp, begin contributing in the second half of fiscal 2027, and contribute further in fiscal 2028.
