Q4 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q4 2026
Earnings Call Date:Oct 27, 2026|% Change Since:4.13%|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive

The call was strongly positive, supported by record full-year revenue, double-digit EPS growth, broad-based payments and cross-border momentum, rapid VAS and stablecoin expansion, increased product development, and confidence in 2027 growth. The company also highlighted continued investment and shareholder returns. Offsetting factors included early-stage agentic commerce adoption, Middle East-related uncertainty, an expected volatility drag, higher renewal and incentive activity, a higher tax rate, FIFA-related comparisons, and pending BioCatch approvals. Highlights significantly outweighed the lowlights.

Company Guidance

For fiscal 2027, Visa expects adjusted net revenue growth in the low double digits, with Q2 being the growth low point; adjusted operating expense growth in the low double digits, modestly below net revenue growth, with relatively consistent quarterly growth and a moderation in the fourth quarter; nonoperating expense between $250 million and $300 million; a tax rate of about 19%, consistent with its long-term tax rate range of 19% to 20%; and adjusted EPS growth in the low double digits to low teens. Visa expects around 25% of payments volume to be renewed, with incentives implying a step-up in the year-over-year growth rate from 2026, and expects pricing benefits to be similar in magnitude and timing as in 2026, with the majority going into effect in the back half even more so than in 2026. For Q1, Visa expects net revenue growth in the low double digits, just under 1 point below Q4 adjusted net revenue growth, operating expense growth also in the low double digits, modestly below net revenue growth, nonoperating expense of about $60 million, a tax rate between 18.5% and 19%, and EPS growth in the low end of mid-teens; the Board also declared an increase in the quarterly dividend of 16%.
