The company's core operations involve the purchase, construction, and management of diverse properties, including retail centers, office buildings, and various other commercial sites, primarily for generating rental income. Beyond this, IRSA also develops and markets residential units, acquires and oversees luxury hotel properties, and procures undeveloped land reserves for future construction projects or eventual sale. Founded in 1943, the firm maintains its main office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and operates as a subsidiary of Cresud Sociedad Anónima Comercial.
