Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q3 2026
Earnings Call Date:Oct 29, 2026|
% Change Since:
|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Neutral
The call was mixed. Fiverr materially beat Q3 revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance, raised full-year guidance, reduced operating expenses, generated free cash flow, and reported encouraging early results from AutoDS, Mira, and AI-driven acquisition channels. However, the core marketplace continues to contract, with revenue down 24.7%, active buyers down 25.8% on a trailing 12-month basis, and management expecting worsening traffic pressure and downward pressure on 2027 adjusted EBITDA margin. The positive execution and transformation progress were balanced by significant current and forward-looking marketplace challenges.
Company Guidance
Q3 revenue was $90.9 million, above the top end of the $80 million to $88 million range given in July, and adjusted EBITDA was $14.5 million, a 16% margin, above the prior range. For the full year 2026, Fiverr raised revenue guidance to $374 million to $380 million, up from $356 million to $372 million last quarter, and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $61 million to $65 million, a 16.7% margin at the midpoint, up from $52 million to $62 million last quarter. For the fourth quarter, it expects revenue of $80 million to $86 million and adjusted EBITDA of $6 million to $10 million, including continued strength from its e-commerce business, offset by the continued decline in marketplace traffic. The company expects the shift from search to AI-driven discovery to drive a steeper decline in marketplace traffic through 2027; while it anticipates lower year-over-year OpEx in 2027, the reduction is expected to be offset by ongoing traffic and demand headwinds, resulting in downward pressure on 2027 adjusted EBITDA margin, with full 2027 guidance to be provided on its fourth quarter call.
Q3 Revenue and Adjusted EBITDA Beat Guidance
Q3 revenue was $90.9 million, above the guided range of $80 million to $88 million. Adjusted EBITDA was $14.5 million, representing a 16% margin and coming in well above the company's guidance range. The outperformance was led by the services business, including AutoDS and e-commerce, together with tight cost management.
Full-Year 2026 Guidance Raised
The company raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $374 million to $380 million from $356 million to $372 million. Adjusted EBITDA guidance was raised to $61 million to $65 million, representing a 16.7% margin at the midpoint, from $52 million to $62 million previously.
Services Revenue Growth Led by AutoDS and E-Commerce
Services revenue was $35.5 million, up 3.4% year-over-year and representing 39% of total revenue. Growth was led by AutoDS and a major e-commerce campaign launched in late August that was described as better than expected and is expected to continue through Q4. Management also cited growth in AutoDS software, AI content tools for e-commerce stores, and multiple efficient marketing initiatives.
Operating Expense Reduction and Cost Discipline
Non-GAAP operating expenses were $62.2 million, down from $66.7 million a year ago and $65.3 million in the prior quarter. Savings were largest in R&D and sales and marketing. Management plans to operate as a lean organization through Q4 and into 2027 and expects operating expenses to be lower year-over-year in 2027.
Strong Cash Position and Free Cash Flow
Fiverr ended Q3 with $316.2 million in cash and investments and generated $9.4 million in free cash flow. Management said capital allocation priorities are funding the marketplace transformation and maintaining strategic and financial flexibility.
Higher-Value Work Continues to Gain Share
Projects at or above $1,000 represented 16% of completed projects' gross order amount on a trailing 12-month basis, up from 15% last quarter. Programming and tech and graphics and design were the strongest verticals for completed $1,000-plus projects, with both up mid-teens year-over-year.
Increased Spend per Marketplace Buyer
Marketplace average spend per buyer was $373, up 12.9% year-over-year. Management attributed the increase to an ongoing mix shift from low-value transactional projects to projects valued at $1,000 or more.
Upmarket Enterprise Engagements
Management cited continued demand for multiphase, mission-critical work, including a digital operations system for a London-based private investment firm, a real-time 3D design engine for an outdoor recreation equipment manufacturer involving nearly 300 3D assets, and an enterprise e-commerce platform replacement for a European packaging and industrial manufacturer. These engagements were described as ongoing work rather than one-off gigs.
Strong Talent Engagement and Marketplace Data Assets
Fiverr hosted 62 events with more than 3,500 freelancers during the year, most of whom were top talent. Its knowledge graph performs 3.3 million skill extractions per month across roughly 70,000 distinct hard skills, and management said matching results are showing higher gross order value, more orders per buyer, fewer cancellations, and fewer support tickets.
Mira AI Headhunter Shows Early Positive Results
Mira, launched in Q3, converts introductions at the same rate as a normal Fiverr conversation, while the median order value for the headhunter experience is 5x larger. Among first-time matches, cancellations on Mira work run about 1/4 lower. Management expects Mira to expand across the full customer journey, including order management and mobile, in 2027.
Expansion of AI-Assisted Acquisition Channels
Fiverr launched its first public APIs, CLIs, and MCP integrations, which are live inside Claude and ChatGPT. AI-sourced GMV for first-time buyers grew approximately 64% from the prior quarter. Management said traffic from large language models is currently lower in volume but higher in quality because users arrive with more formed intent.
Continued Investment in the AI-Era Transformation
Management said it is investing in new traffic channels, the transformation of the marketplace, and capabilities that allow AI agents to find talent, scope work, place orders, and pay without leaving the assistant. The company is also pursuing deep integrations with major foundational models and agents, while keeping the existing economic model unchanged.
