Lenzing AG
Lenzing Aktiengesellschaft, an Austrian company founded in 1892 and headquartered in Lenzing, specializes globally in the production and sale of cellulosic fibers sourced from wood. These fibers primarily serve the textile and nonwoven industries across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and other international markets. The company's operations are segmented into Fiber, Pulp, and Other divisions. Its product range includes lyocell fibers, which find application in activewear, home textiles, mattresses, and hygiene products like wet and baby wipes. They also offer modal fibers and viscose fibers, widely used in apparel fabrics, various wipes, feminine hygiene products (tampons), and medical wound dressings. These high-quality fibers are sold under prominent brands such as LENZING, TENCEL, VEOCEL, and LENZING ECOVERO. Beyond fibers, Lenzing produces a variety of biorefinery products, including biobased acetic acid, furfural, and magnesium lignosulphonate, alongside soda ash, sodium sulphate, and xylose. Additionally, the company engages in mechanical and plant engineering, offers specialized engineering services, and conducts training and personnel development programs. The company officially changed its name to Lenzing Aktiengesellschaft in 1984, having previously operated as Chemiefaser Lenzing AG.
