Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Conservative Balance SheetKandenko’s low leverage and consistently growing equity provide lasting financial flexibility for bidding and absorbing project timing swings. A conservatively financed balance sheet supports capital allocation to backlog, limits refinancing risk, and preserves credit optionality through economic cycles.
Re-accelerating Revenue And Improving MarginsSustained top-line re-acceleration and steady margin expansion through 2025 indicate improving competitive positioning and operational execution. Durable revenue growth with expanding gross and net margins signals that project selection, pricing, and cost control have strengthened over multiple years.
2026 Cash Flow ReboundA material recovery in operating and free cash flow in 2026 suggests working-capital normalization and better project cash conversion. If sustained, this improves liquidity, funds reinvestment in backlog and maintenance services, and reduces dependence on external financing for growth.
Bears Say
Volatile Cash GenerationMulti-year swings in operating cash flow and thin free cash flow in 2024–2025 highlight structural working-capital and project-timing risks. Persistent volatility can strain liquidity, limit discretionary spending, and force reactive financing or slower supplier payments during troughs.
Rising Variability In Total DebtHigher and variable debt balances in 2024–2025 introduce funding risk if project cash conversion weakens again. Even with low overall leverage today, rising short-term borrowings can increase interest and rollover exposure, reducing resilience to contract delays or margin pressure.
Project-based Business ConcentrationDependence on contracting and project execution creates structural cyclicality and execution risk. Long-term profitability relies on consistent bid wins, disciplined cost management, and change-order control; failures or competitive pricing pressure can compress margins and cash conversion over several quarters.
