Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Low LeverageDebt-to-equity of about 0.03 in FY2026, down from roughly 0.41–0.47 in FY2021–FY2022, indicates limited leverage and a meaningful equity cushion. This supports resilience and preserves capacity to fund operations or respond to demand weakness.
Operating Cash SupportOperating cash flow remained positive in every year provided, while FY2026 free cash flow rebounded to a healthy positive level. That operating cash support can help sustain working capital and investment without relying heavily on external financing.
Diversified Sales ModelSales are spread across branded consumer footwear in domestic markets and export/B2B manufacturing for other buyers. This mix gives Mirza multiple routes to revenue and balances brand-led value capture with volume-oriented supply activity over the medium term.
Bears Say
Persistent Revenue DeclineRevenue declined in every year from FY2023 through FY2026, indicating a persistent top-line contraction rather than a single weak period. Continued shrinking sales can reduce scale benefits, limit reinvestment, and make recovery in operating profit more difficult over the next several quarters.
Severe Margin CompressionGross margin fell to about 18% in FY2026 from roughly 40–52% historically, while operating profit turned negative. Such severe compression signals reduced earnings resilience and leaves profitability more exposed to pricing, mix, and cost pressures.
Profitability DeteriorationNet income moved from solid profits in FY2022–FY2024 to losses in FY2025 and a near-breakeven loss in FY2026. The resulting negative returns weaken internal capital generation and can constrain the company’s ability to compound earnings without a sustained turnaround.
