Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue Growth RecoveryRevenue re-acceleration and improved EBIT in FY2026 indicate recovering end-market demand and better realizations. Sustained top-line recovery supports higher plant utilization and fixed-cost absorption, improving structural operating leverage and long-term earnings power.
Consistent Free Cash Flow GenerationPersistent positive operating cash flow and a strong FCF rebound in FY2026 demonstrate the company's ability to self-fund operations and investments. Reliable cash generation enables debt reduction, routine capex, and resilience through cycles, improving medium-term financial flexibility.
Deleveraging And Equity ImprovementMeaningful reduction in total debt and rising equity over recent years strengthen the balance sheet. Lower leverage decreases interest burden and refinancing risk, raising the company's capacity to invest in capacity or weather downturns — a durable improvement in financial health.
Bears Say
Highly Volatile ProfitabilityHistoric swings in earnings, including a loss and an outsized spike, indicate inconsistent margin capture and unpredictable returns. This volatility reduces predictability for capital allocation, makes forecasting difficult, and raises the risk of recurring profit compression in down cycles.
Leverage Still MeaningfulDespite deleveraging, remaining debt levels are material relative to a cyclical revenue base. This can constrain investment choices, amplify cash-flow stress if demand weakens, and leave limited headroom for growth-oriented capex without further debt reduction or significant FCF generation.
Sector Cyclicality And Input Cost ExposureStructural exposure to steel-cycle swings and volatile input costs (iron ore, coal, power) makes margins and volumes sensitive to macro and commodity trends. This persistent industry-level risk can periodically erode profitability and cash flow irrespective of company-specific actions.
