Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Strong Cash GenerationFY2026 delivered a sharp rise in operating and free cash flow, with free cash flow close to net income in magnitude. Durable cash conversion provides capacity to fund working capital, capex, and shareholder returns even when reported earnings are weak, supporting financial flexibility.
Conservative LeverageLow debt-to-equity (~0.10) and sizeable equity versus assets create balance-sheet resilience. Conservative leverage reduces refinancing risk, preserves headroom for opportunistic investment or project bidding, and helps the company absorb earnings volatility without forcing distressed asset sales.
Diversified Business MixA business mix spanning consumer electricals, lighting and EPC projects spreads revenue across retail, distribution and institutional channels. This structural diversification smooths demand cycles, allows cross-selling, and reduces dependency on any single end market, supporting more stable long-term cash flows.
Bears Say
Earnings DeteriorationFY2026’s revenue decline and swing to a net loss reflect a material earnings reset. Persistently lower margins and negative ROE can erode reinvestment capacity, undermine investor confidence, and require management actions (cost cuts, pricing changes) that may take quarters to restore profitability.
Inconsistent Cash Flow HistoryAlthough FY2026 cash generation improved sharply, FCF has been inconsistent across recent years. This variability complicates long-term planning for capex, working capital and dividends, increasing the risk that future cash shortfalls could force either sharper operational moves or external financing.
Project Execution / Working-capital RiskThe EPC business exposes the company to long working-capital cycles and contract execution risk. Unfavorable contract terms or delays can tie up cash and compress margins, creating lumpy results and making overall profitability more sensitive to project management and customer payment timing.
