Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Narrowing Cash BurnThe company reduced cash outflows and narrowed losses in 2025 versus 2024. This durable improvement extends operational runway, lowers immediate refinancing pressure, and gives management more time to advance clinical programs or achieve milestone-based funding over the next several months.
Improving CapitalizationPositive equity and a moderate debt-to-equity ratio provide a structural cushion versus peers with negative equity. The stronger capital position and declining total debt in 2025 support solvency, enabling access to financing and preserving operational flexibility across the medium term.
Evidence Of Cost ControlA narrowed net loss implies management has implemented cost controls that are reducing burn. Sustained expense discipline can materially extend runway, improve incremental margins on any future revenue, and demonstrate operational competence relevant over the next 2–6 months.
Bears Say
Minimal / No Revenue BaseThe company lacks a material revenue stream, leaving it unable to self-fund operations. Absent commercialization or recurring income, the firm remains structurally dependent on external capital or milestone payments, a material medium-term execution and financing risk.
Large Persistent Losses And Cash BurnHeavy recurring losses and negative operating/free cash flow will erode resources without new funding or revenue. This structural cash consumption constrains R&D investment choices, increases dilution risk, and limits strategic optionality over the next several quarters.
Fragile Capital History And Funding RiskA history of negative equity and significant declines in shareholders' equity indicates a fragile capital structure. That history raises the probability of future dilution or restructuring if operating losses persist, creating persistent funding risk until revenue or sustained profitability emerges.

Company Description
TYK Medicines, Inc. Class H
TYK Medicines, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical firm in the clinical development phase, dedicated to identifying, obtaining, advancing, and bringing to market innovative treatments for significant unmet needs in oncology. The company's primary drug candidate, TY-9591, is a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It is being developed to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations that has metastasized to the brain, as well as locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC characterized by the EGFR L858R mutation. Beyond its lead candidate, TYK Medicines maintains a diverse pipeline of other investigational therapies. These include TY-302, an oral cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitor designed for solid tumors such as breast and prostate cancer. Another compound, TY-2136b, is an oral ROS proto-oncogene 1/neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase inhibitor also aimed at solid tumors. The company is advancing TY-2699a, a selective CDK7 inhibitor, and TY-0540, a selective CDK2/4/6 inhibitor, both targeting advanced or metastatic solid malignancies. Further, the pipeline features TY-4028, an oral exon 20 insertion tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) specifically addressing locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR exon 20 or HER2 exon 20 insertions. TY-1091 is a potent and selective rearranged during transfection proto-oncogene (RET) inhibitor, under development for advanced NSCLC with RET gene fusion, advanced medullary thyroid cancer with RET gene mutation, and other solid tumors presenting RET gene alterations. Other promising programs include TY-1054, an oral yes-associated protein-transcriptional enhanced associate domain inhibitor for various cancers; TY-1210, a selective CDK2 inhibitor for solid tumors; TY-0609, a selective CDK4 inhibitor also for cancer therapy; and TY-3200, an innovative EGFR degrader. Established in 2017, the enterprise operates from its main office located in Huzhou, China.
