Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Resilient Gross MarginsGross margins around 59–60% indicate the branded herbal portfolio retains pricing or product-mix support despite weaker sales. If volumes stabilize, preserved product economics could help rebuild operating leverage and improve profitability over the next several quarters.
Positive Cash GenerationPositive operating and free cash flow across periods, including approximately 118M in 2025, supports ongoing funding of operations and reduces immediate reliance on external capital. This provides resilience while management works to restore revenue and earnings.
Manageable LeverageDebt-to-equity improved to about 0.60 from 0.69 in 2023, while equity remains sizable relative to assets. Lower leverage provides greater financial flexibility to manage the business and invest in the branded retail and product platform.
Bears Say
Severe Revenue ContractionThe multi-year revenue decline, including an approximately 78% contraction in 2025, signals substantial deterioration in sales scale and market reach. Continued top-line pressure can reduce fixed-cost absorption, weaken retailer economics, and limit the company’s ability to leverage its gross margin.
Persistent Operating LossesRecurring net losses since 2023 and negative operating margins through 2025 show that gross-margin strength has not translated into sustainable earnings. Without a durable improvement in sales scale or cost structure, profitability and returns on the existing asset base remain under pressure.
Shrinking Balance-Sheet ScaleDeclining total assets and equity since 2020 indicate that the business has become smaller and may have less balance-sheet cushion than in prior years. This can constrain strategic investment capacity and reduce resilience if operating losses or revenue weakness persist.
