Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Conservative Balance SheetVery low leverage and a sizable equity base provide financial flexibility to fund clinical development and absorb volatility. This reduces refinancing risk while the company advances its commercial and pipeline assets.
High Gross ProfitabilityA very high gross margin indicates substantial product-level economics and provides room to support research, regulatory work and commercialization. Maintaining this profile could strengthen the funding capacity of the operating model.
China-Funded Global PipelineUsing established China revenue to finance selected global R&D can reduce dependence on external capital and improve development resilience. The approach also diversifies future growth across fibrosis, oncology and inflammatory disease programs.
Bears Say
Return To TTM LossesThe shift back to losses indicates that operating expenses are currently absorbing the benefit of strong gross profitability. Persistent earnings volatility could constrain internally funded investment and make future results less predictable.
Unreliable Operating Cash ConversionNegative TTM operating cash flow means reported product economics have not yet translated consistently into cash from operations. Uneven conversion increases reliance on balance-sheet resources and raises execution risk during pipeline expansion.
Generic Competition And Pipeline ExecutionGeneric pressure could limit the durability of established pirfenidone-related commercial growth and increase the need for successful line extensions. At the same time, a broad development portfolio creates substantial execution demands across indications and regions.
