Q2 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q2 2026
Earnings Call Date:Aug 06, 2026|% Change Since:-15.22%|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive

The call was broadly positive: second-quarter EBITDA exceeded guidance, cost savings are tracking ahead of plan, powersports is growing strongly, new product and OEM awards support future growth, and full-year revenue guidance was raised. However, the company continues to face meaningful pressure from lower year-over-year revenue, automotive supply constraints, elevated input and logistics costs, Marucci inventory cleanup, and a lower implied full-year margin range. The number and significance of the positive operating developments outweighed the stated challenges.

Company Guidance

Fox now expects full-year net sales in the range of $1.42 billion to $1.47 billion and adjusted EBITDA in the range of $176 million to $196 million, implying a full-year adjusted EBITDA margin range of approximately 12.4% to 13.3%, compared with the roughly 13.1% to 14.3% implied in February; adjusted EBITDA represents growth of approximately 5% to 16% over fiscal 25 on roughly flat revenue. Capital expenditures are expected to be approximately 2% of revenues, the full-year tax rate is expected to be in the range of 15% to 18%, and cost savings are expected to be approximately $50 million. Third-quarter net sales are expected in the range of $355 million to $380 million, adjusted EBITDA in the range of $46 million to $54 million, and adjusted EBITDA margin approximately 13% to 14%; the outlook assumes commodity freight and fuel costs remain at or near elevated levels for the balance of the year, absorbs nearly $20 million of incremental inflation beyond the original plan, approximately $15 million of which is anticipated in the second half, and excludes any recovery of as much as $8 million of additional tariff costs previously incurred.

  • Second-Quarter Results Beat EBITDA GuidanceSecond-quarter revenue was $358 million, at the high end of the guided range, while adjusted EBITDA was $45.5 million, $5 million above the high end of guidance.

  • Powersports Growth and StabilizationPowersports revenue grew 22.5% in the second quarter and 28% in the first half year over year. Management said OEM customers have worked through much of the channel inventory imbalance and expects powersports to remain a stabilizing force through the balance of the year.

Fox also received new automotive and electric-vehicle awards, with the electric-vehicle product expected to begin shipping at the tail end of 2026 and drive incremental volume in 2027.

Aftermarket businesses, including Custom Wheelhouse, Ridetech and Sport Truck, continued to benefit from product launches and consistent demand.
  • OEM-Driven Customization Programs Gaining TractionFox's new OEM-driven customization programs continued to build through the second quarter. Management said the programs leverage OEM marketing, sales channels and booking systems, relieve meaningful marketing and sales complexity and cost, improve factory absorption, and support expansion into new dealers and vehicle platforms.
  • Bike Business Stabilization and Technology OpportunitiesThe bike business benefited from a 12.5% sequential increase in SSG revenue, while segment margin remained essentially flat year over year despite revenue being down 9.4%. Management cited gradual channel-inventory improvement, new customer relationships, e-bike growth and demand for new technologies, with some products sold out. Fox is continuing to invest in its 32-inch cross-country platform, e-mountain bikes and motor-agnostic integration strategy.
  • Marucci Softball and New Product MomentumSoftball continued to be a bright spot for Marucci, with growth outpacing most other Marucci sectors across college, pre-college and adult slow-pitch softball. Management said upcoming product launches, including a new bat, are expected to support the second and third quarters.
  • Lizard Skins and International Baseball StrengthLizard Skins was described as performing very well, with strong end-market demand across multiple sports. Full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance is $176 million to $196 million, representing approximately 5% to 16% growth over fiscal 25 on roughly flat revenue.
  • Third-Quarter Guidance Implies Further ImprovementThird-quarter revenue guidance is $355 million to $380 million and adjusted EBITDA guidance is $46 million to $54 million, implying an adjusted EBITDA margin of approximately 13% to 14%, up from 12.2% in the second quarter excluding tariff refunds.
  • Portfolio Optimization and Debt Reduction FocusFox continues to evaluate businesses based on brand alignment, core-competency synergies, accretive margins and durable cash flows. Management stated that cash proceeds from portfolio activities will go directly to debt reduction.
