The City Solutions segment focuses on developing innovative urban solutions for heating, cooling, waste-to-energy conversion, biomass energy, other circular economy initiatives, and solar power generation. Fortum's Consumer Solutions arm manages electricity and gas retail operations, encompassing invoicing, customer support, sales of electricity and complementary products, and digital services for around 2.4 million clients. The Russia segment is primarily concerned with generating and selling both power and heat. Additionally, the company's Uniper segment is active in power generation, energy trading, and optimization activities. Fortum Oyj was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.
