EXCO Resources, Inc. functions as an independent enterprise dedicated to the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. The company primarily concentrates its efforts on discovering, developing, and extracting hydrocarbon resources from onshore shale formations across the United States. Its portfolio includes interests in the Haynesville and Bossier shales, spanning East Texas and North Louisiana, along with approximately 48,500 net acres in the Eagle Ford shale of South Texas. Furthermore, EXCO holds prospective acreage totaling about 234,800 net acres in the Marcellus shale and approximately 69,000 net acres in the Utica shale within the Appalachian basin. The corporate operations of EXCO Resources, Inc. are based in Dallas, Texas.
