Company Description
Neste
Neste Oyj is a Finnish energy company specializing in both renewable and conventional oil products. Headquartered in Espoo, Finland, the company maintains a significant global presence, serving markets across the Nordics, Baltic Rim, wider Europe, North and South America, and internationally. Its operations are strategically divided into four key segments: The Renewable Products segment is dedicated to the production, marketing, and sale of advanced sustainable fuels and materials. Leveraging its proprietary technology, it offers renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), bio-based solvents, and raw materials for bioplastics, primarily targeting wholesale clients. Conversely, the Oil Products segment handles the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of a broad spectrum of conventional petroleum products. These include various grades of diesel and gasoline, aviation and marine fuels, fuel oils (light and heavy), base oils, gasoline components, specialty solvents, liquefied gases, and bitumen. Its extensive customer base encompasses retailers, distributors, major oil companies, trading firms, petrochemical manufacturers, and lubricant and solvent marketers. The Marketing & Services segment focuses on the retail and direct sale of petroleum products and related services. It caters to a wide array of customers, including individual motorists, industrial clients, transportation firms, agricultural businesses, and heating oil consumers, utilizing a robust network of 947 service stations alongside direct sales channels. Finally, the Others segment delivers specialized engineering and technology solutions. Beyond its core segments, Neste also produces essential raw materials used in the manufacture of polymers and other chemical products. Established in 1948, the company operated under the name Neste Oil Oyj until June 2015, when it officially adopted its present name, Neste Oyj.

NEFA Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call conveyed a strongly positive financial and strategic picture: record Q2 EBITDA, record RFP margins, a strengthened balance sheet with active deleveraging, confirmed credit rating, favorable regulatory developments (RED III and U.S. RVO) and an encouraging long-term demand outlook. These positives were tempered by operational and timing challenges: RP utilization below target (75%), significant working capital and inventory build-up pressuring cash flow, and substantial scheduled turnarounds that will reduce volumes in H2 and require higher near-term CapEx. Management emphasized ongoing reliability upgrades, prudent turnaround execution and a priority on deleveraging and delivering returns before any major new capacity push. Overall, the highlights (record results, regulatory tailwinds, deleveraging and program savings) outweigh the lowlights (operational reliability, working capital strain and turnaround timing risks).View all DE:NEFA earnings summariesTechnical Analysis
