Aker BP ASA is an energy company primarily focused on the discovery, development, and extraction of oil and gas resources within the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Founded in 2001, the company was formerly known as Det norske oljeselskap ASA before rebranding as Aker BP ASA in October 2016. Its headquarters are located in Fornebu, Norway.
