Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Business Model / Market FitCETY's core offering—waste-heat-recovery and industrial energy-efficiency systems—targets a structural decarbonization and cost-reduction need in industry. Project-based equipment plus engineering and integration creates a durable addressable market with multi-year deployment and aftermarket service potential.
Governance & Strategic AccessAdding independent directors with finance and China new-energy experience strengthens oversight, investor relations, and potential strategic partnerships. Improved board expertise supports Nasdaq governance needs and can materially aid capital-raising and market access over the coming months.
Improving LeverageBalance sheet leverage has materially declined to ~0.52x in 2025 from ~2.37x in 2022, indicating reduced solvency pressure. Lower leverage improves runway and optionality for project deployment or targeted financing without immediate severe refinancing risk.
Bears Say
Persistent Cash BurnConsistently negative operating and free cash flow show the business cannot self-fund operations or growth. Over a multi-month horizon this forces dependence on external capital, limits reinvestment in sales or product deployment, and increases existential liquidity risk if new funding stalls.
Nasdaq Non-compliance RiskRepeated late filings and active non-compliance notices create material delisting risk that would erode liquidity and public capital access. Structurally, this impairs investor confidence, constrains equity-based compensation, and can hinder strategic partnerships and long-term financing options.
Reliance On Short-term / Dilutive FinancingUse of high-cost, short-duration subordinated loans and repeated convertible note financings signals near-term liquidity stress. This raises repayment burdens and potential equity dilution on conversion or default, reducing capital flexibility and making multi-quarter strategic investments harder to pursue.
