Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Large Bookings And Backlog GrowthA multi-billion dollar backlog and a >$14B pipeline provide durable revenue visibility and capacity to scale. Large booked projects underpin multi-quarter revenue conversion, support aftermarket follow‑on work, and de‑risk near-term top-line volatility if execution remains on plan.
Improving Operating Margins And Steady Gross MarginRevenue growth with steady mid‑20s gross margins and an improving EBIT margin shows improving contract economics and operational leverage. If sustained, these trends signal the company can translate project scale and aftermarket mix into recurring profitability over coming quarters.
Material Liquidity And Net-debt ReductionStrong cash reserves and net debt below 1x adjusted EBITDA materially reduce refinancing and covenant risk. That liquidity provides flexibility to fund capacity expansion, retire near-term bonds, and support project execution without immediate reliance on external financing.
Bears Say
Negative Shareholders' EquityA sustained equity deficit weakens the balance sheet and limits financial flexibility. Negative equity increases refinancing and covenant sensitivity, constrains access to cheaper capital, and makes the company more vulnerable if project cash flows are delayed or margins deteriorate.
Persistent Cash BurnOngoing negative operating and free cash flow despite revenue gains indicates the recovery hasn't yet converted into sustainable cash generation. Continued cash burn pressures liquidity over months and forces reliance on financing or equity raises to fund working capital and project capex.
Execution And Project Conversion RiskAmbitious backlog and pipeline require scaling manufacturing and supply chains; shortages or timing slips can delay revenue and inflate costs. Many AI and utility opportunities are not fully contracted, so conversion timing and execution capacity are durable execution risks affecting multi‑quarter delivery.
