Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q3 2026
Earnings Call Date:Oct 22, 2026|% Change Since:0.00%|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive

The call was broadly constructive, with strong revenue momentum, double-digit loan and deposit growth, solid capitalization, improving quarterly provisions and substantial digital, agency-banking and strategic growth initiatives. However, management acknowledged meaningful pressure from a weak macroeconomic environment, higher provisions, rising NPLs concentrated in SME and microfinance, NIM compression, elevated funding costs and slower growth in selected segments. The positive operating performance and strategic progress significantly outweighed the disclosed challenges.

Company Guidance

Management expects credit costs “at around the 100 basis point area,” loan growth “roughly at around the 10% area,” and asset growth “something along the lines of about that,” while remaining flexible to evolving market conditions; NIMs should receive support from further rate rises, with policy-rate impacts calculated after 1 year, and management’s outlook is that rates begin to turn in the second half next year. SME is expected to exit this year with growth of “probably low 20s year-on-year,” while funding is being kept short, including a 1.75-year SIBOL Bonds tenor.
