AIR Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Negative
The call balanced operational progress (strong customer satisfaction, significant improvement in regional punctuality, premium and ancillary revenue growth, loyalty scale, transformation savings and a resilient liquidity position) against serious near-term challenges: persistent engine availability disruptions (causing grounded aircraft and an estimated NZD 90 million earnings hit), significant and structural non-fuel cost inflation (landing charges, engineering materials), elevated maintenance lifecycle costs, a heavier-than-expected CapEx profile and a near-term P&L loss (NZD 59m pre-tax, NZD 40m net). Management has clear remedial actions (fleet recovery, transformation, schedule redesign, advocacy) and some positive momentum, but material uncertainties remain (timing/quantum of OEM compensation, engine return schedules, volatile fuel/crack spreads and subdued domestic demand). On balance the negative operational and cost pressures outweigh the positives in the short term.View all NZ:AIR earnings summariesAIR Stock 12 Month Forecast
