Central Japan Railway Company
Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) is a major Japanese railway company that operates primarily in the Chūbu region of central Japan. Founded in 1987, the company is headquartered in Nagoya and is a part of the Japan Railways Group. JR Central's core business revolves around the operation of the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, one of the busiest high-speed rail lines in the world, connecting Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
