Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Recurring Aftermarket DemandThe aftermarket adds a recurring revenue layer beyond new equipment sales, because existing users require parts, consumables, and accessories to maintain products. This can improve demand resilience across equipment cycles and supports longer-term customer relationships and channel relevance.
Broad Product And Brand CoverageA broad product portfolio serves both professional and consumer users across multiple outdoor-maintenance needs. Combined with branded distribution networks and channel coverage, this diversification can widen customer reach, support cross-selling, and reduce reliance on one product category.
Positive Cash GenerationPositive operating and free cash flow in 2025 provides internally generated funding for operations, investment, and shareholder commitments. Although conversion is not consistently strong, the improvement from 2024 demonstrates that the business can produce cash under current conditions.
Bears Say
Choppy And Declining RevenueThe recent revenue pattern shows limited top-line momentum, with declines in multiple years and only modest intervening growth. Prolonged sales weakness could reduce operating leverage, constrain investment capacity, and make sustained earnings improvement more difficult over the next several quarters.
Thin Profitability And Lower ReturnsThin net profitability leaves less protection against operating pressure and limits the earnings retained from each euro of sales. The materially lower ROE also indicates that the capital base is generating weaker shareholder returns than earlier periods, reducing current earnings power.
Limited Debt Deleveraging CapacityCash generation remains modest relative to debt, limiting the company’s ability to reduce leverage quickly if trading conditions weaken. Incomplete free-cash-flow conversion and negative free cash flow in 2022 also indicate that debt service and investment needs may compete for available cash.
