Headquartered in Kolkata, India, Jupiter Wagons Limited, founded in 1979, produces and distributes a comprehensive range of transportation solutions across India, Europe, and North America. The company's diverse offerings include various types of freight wagons—such as open, covered, flat, hopper, container, and specialized models—along with critical wagon accessories like alloy steel cast bogies, high-tensile center buffer couplers, and robust draft gears. Beyond freight, they also manufacture passenger and metro coaches, complete train sets, and associated components such as fabricated bogies, couplers and draft gears for passenger applications, and axle-mounted disc brake systems complete with discs and pads. Furthermore, Jupiter Wagons supplies railway track components, including CMS and weldable CMS crossings, and a selection of commercial vehicles. Their primary clientele comprises the Indian railways, private wagon operators, and industrial railway workshops. The company adopted its current name, Jupiter Wagons Limited, in May 2022, having previously operated as Commercial Engineers & Body Builders Co Limited.
