Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Improving LeverageLower leverage reduces balance-sheet pressure and gives the company more flexibility while it works to improve operations. The improvement to a debt-to-equity ratio of about 0.12 suggests financing risk is currently more contained than in prior years, although losses remain a constraint.
Solid Gross MarginsMaintaining solid gross margins indicates that the products can generate meaningful value above direct costs, even though overall expenses remain too high. If revenue stabilizes, this gross-margin base could support operating improvement without requiring a fundamental change to the core product economics.
Focused Structural-heart BusinessA focused portfolio in structural heart interventions gives the company a clearly defined medical-device identity and specialized clinical use case. Its products address valvular heart disease through minimally invasive procedures, supporting a coherent long-term commercial strategy around related technologies.
Bears Say
Sharp Revenue ContractionA sharp revenue decline weakens scale, reduces the ability to absorb fixed operating costs, and makes the path to profitability less credible. The contraction is particularly concerning because it followed only flat-to-modest prior growth, indicating limited recent top-line momentum.
Persistent UnprofitabilityContinuing operating and net losses show that the business has not yet converted its products and gross margin into sustainable earnings. Persistent negative margins can dilute equity value over time and limit the company’s ability to fund expansion internally, even if losses have moderated.
Sustained Cash BurnWeak and inconsistent cash generation creates an ongoing need to manage funding carefully while the company remains loss-making. Negative operating and free cash flow, especially the deterioration in 2025, can increase reliance on external financing and constrain investment in future growth.
