Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Top-line ReboundRevenue grew 45.9% YoY in 2025, reflecting stronger project output or better market realization. Sustained top-line recovery supports long-term project economics, helps absorb fixed costs, and creates optionality for asset sales or capacity additions if margins stabilize.
Positive Operating Cash FlowOperating cash flow rose to ~2.29B in 2025 and has been consistently positive, providing a durable funding source for a capital-intensive renewables platform. Positive OCF reduces near-term funding strain, supports maintenance and project execution, and underpins operations despite negative FCF.
Asset-backed Renewable PortfolioAn asset-backed portfolio of commissioned wind assets yields long-lived cash flows and provides tangible collateral for financing. This structural asset base supports project-level economics, access to debt markets for expansion, and resilience provided leverage is managed prudently.
Bears Say
Profitability DeteriorationNet margin fell to ~5.5% in 2025 from ~32.9% in 2024 and net income declined sharply, indicating structural margin pressure or higher non-operating costs. Weaker profitability reduces retained earnings, limits reinvestment capacity, and undermines resilience of cash returns over the medium term.
Elevated LeverageDebt-to-equity of ~2.23 and ~18.96B total debt raise refinancing and interest-rate exposure. High leverage constrains strategic flexibility, increases financing costs, and amplifies earnings volatility if operating cash flows or project schedules slip, posing medium-term funding risk.
Persistent Negative Free Cash FlowFCF was negative every year (~-0.70B in 2025, -2.31B in 2024), pointing to sustained heavy reinvestment and project build needs. Chronic negative FCF forces reliance on external financing, elevates execution and market risk, and can strain liquidity during tighter credit conditions.
