argenx SE is a biotechnology enterprise dedicated to developing a diverse array of therapeutic agents for autoimmune conditions. Its operational reach extends across the United States, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and France. The company's primary drug candidate, efgartigimod, is currently in advanced stages of clinical investigation. It is being evaluated in Phase III trials for several indications, including myasthenia gravis, immune thrombocytopenia, pemphigus vulgaris, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Furthermore, efgartigimod is progressing through Phase II/III clinical trials for bullous pemphigoid and idiopathic inflammatory myopathy, with its subcutaneous ENHANZE formulation also undergoing preclinical assessment. Beyond its lead product, argenx SE maintains an active pipeline of immunology-focused programs. This includes cusatuzumab, targeted at hematological cancers and high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS); ARGX-119, an antibody designed to inhibit muscle-specific tyrosine kinase; ARGX-117, slated for severe autoimmune disorders; ARGX-118, aimed at mitigating airway inflammation; and ARGX-120, another candidate for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. The firm also engages in collaborations for additional investigational products, such as ARGX-115 for cancer therapy, ARGX-112 which targets the interleukin-22 receptor, and ARGX-114, an antibody engineered to block the MET receptor. argenx SE has forged strategic alliances with AbbVie S.À.R.L., Zai Lab Limited, and LEO Pharma A/S. It also holds numerous collaboration and licensing agreements with partners including Genor Biopharma Co. Ltd, Université Catholique de Louvain, Sopartec S.A., NYU Langone Health, Leiden University Medical Center, AgomAb Therapeutics NV, Broteio Pharma B.V., the University of Texas, BioWa, Inc., Cilag GmbH International, Staten Biotechnology B.V., and Shire International GmbH. Established in 2008, argenx SE is headquartered in Breda, the Netherlands.
